2025 Children's day festival (Kodomo no Hi)こどもの日イベント
Children’s Day, known as
Kodomo no Hi (こどもの日) in Japan, is a national holiday celebrated on
May 5th. It is a special day dedicated to honoring children's happiness, health, and growth, as well as expressing gratitude to mothers and families.
Originally, May 5th was called Tango no Sekku,(端午の節句）, a festival to celebrate the growth and health of boys in samurai culture, nowadays it is a festival to wish for the healthy growth of all children, regardless of gender.
Fun Children's Day activities and mochi making await you! Plus, fun outside activities are scheduled. Come and have a wonderful Children's day festival with your friends!
Date： May 9 Saturday 1:30 to 4:00 pm
Location: EJCA 6750 88 Street, Edmonton
Fees： EJCA Members: Free, use your membership email address for registration. Please register each adult individually.
Non-member: 1 Adult - $5.00 including children(under age 12）
Registration: ends on April 26 or when all reserved.
Program:
1:30 pm Door open , Feel free to come when you want and stay as long as you want.
2:00 – 4:00 Koinobori display, Kids' crafts and colouring
1:30 – 3:00 Outdoor play
2:00– 3:00 Mochi making
3:00 – 3:45 Games and storytelling
4:00 pm Event end
Notes:
- Please come with your own drinks if required. We serve Genmai-cha and water.
- Children will receive children's day goodies!
- Volunteers, EJCA appreciates your help! Volunteer registration is included in the registration form.

日時： 5月9日(土曜日) 午後1時30分-4時 ご都合の良い時間にご来場ください。参加登録は必要です。
場所： EJCA 会館、6750 88 Street, Edmonton
参加費: EJCA 2025年会員ー無料、登録にはMembershipに登録してあるメールアドレスをお使いください。大人はお一人ずつ登録してください。子供は大人と一緒に登録できます。
非会員ー大人１人5ドル、大人と一緒に来る子供(12歳以下）は無料
登録締め切り: 4月26日、または満席になり次第締め切ります。

1:30 - 4:00 鯉のぼりの展示、クラフトとぬりえ
1:30～3:00 外遊び
2:00– 3:00 餅つき
3:00 – 3:45 紙芝居
4:00 終了

1. 必要な方は飲み物を持参してください。玄米茶、水をご用意しております。
2. お子様にはお菓子のプレゼントがあります。
